Dee, Gavin, Merrick, and Gracie's family: first is Sheba Rolly Kilpatrick. Sheba came from a domestic violence situation. They fought for custody of her and won. She is a wonderful girl with lots of love and is very protective of her kids. They've had her 6 years! Next is Sandy Funny Bunny Kilpatrick. Sandy is Sheba's best friend. They brought her home from a pet store because she was being poked at by several little kids. She doesn't think she is a rabbit! They've had her 6 months. Then comes Sassy Ms. Clean Boss Kilpatrick. Sassy picked Dee's son to come home with. She was a runt in a litter of barn cats and came over to my son and would not leave his side. She is very clean and bossy! She rules the house and thinks she is Merrick's real mom, cleaning him every night from head to toe. They've had her 7 years. Finally is Mew Hunter Kilpatrick. Mew came home with the family on Sassy's 1st vet visit. He was feed crack cocaine and left in a field to die as a kitten. Their wonderful vet saved her life. Unfortunately Mew was going to be put to sleep because of the damage she had suffered as a kitten. The vet asked to bring her home because Sassy was the only one who could get a positive response from her. Mew likes the outdoors because she is a hunter, so they built a kitty door for her. Sassy now hates her because she goes outside and the outside is “dirty”. That and Mew is much stronger now and does not let anybody push her around anymore including Sassy. They've had her 7 years.
Both Sassy and Mew beat up on Sheba for fun since she's the baby. The Kilpatrick's have a wonderful family of pets; however it's like having four more children who tease each other and pick on each other until someone else is here. Then they sick together like glue and defend each other. They are all very wonderful, just don't call them animals because they think they're human. They all have the greatest personalities and are loved dearly!

Busted!! Mark managed to snap this quick shot of his 14 pound cat, Bailey (who, also by the way, likes to sleep in bags). And there's Chase (English Springer Spaniel) and Magic snuggling on the couch.

This is Annette's dog, Speedy. She is about 10 years old. Her daughter got her for her dad so he could have a dog to hang out with him in his shop. When they got her, she had been mistreated and wasn't in the best of shape. A few months after she came to live with them she got parvo and they had to bring her back to good health! After recovering, she got pregnant and had 11 puppies!! All lived, but she only could feed 8 at a time. Because of that she got mastacitis, so Annette got to take her place and bottle feed all 11 puppies for 4 weeks. Obviously, needless to say Speedy started her life out rough but now she's older and has nothing better to do than just lay around on the front porch or out in the front yard so she can enjoy the sunshine!

Lisa's dogs are Frank, Gia, Sophie, and Isabella. The cats are Tiger (with Jade), Blackie, and Lil' Bit. The dogs are known as Lisa's “kids” and are very pampered. The cats they got after the hurricane. They had about 14 cats!! Blackie and Tiger were the only ones that stayed around, and they're not really sure where Lil' Bit came from... he just showed up on the porch one day! The first time he came inside, they closed the door and he got spooked, jumped up on the stove, and tried to jump out the door window. Thank goodness they are all males!

These are pictures of Janet, Cody, and Quinn's 6-year-old 80 pound German Shepherd, Stormy and their kitten, Jackson who is 7-months-old. They love each other so much. The gray kittie is Toes. She's about 9 or 10 years old according to the vet. They are all rescues. Stormy had been returned to her breeder because her family had to move and couldn't take her. Jackson was among about two dozen kittens at a friend's neighbors house. His mother had died and the other mother cat was trying to care for all of the kittens. They were all sick. Jackson weighed 3 pounds, had very goopy eyes, and a bad cough. They took him in to the vet and they fixed him right up. Since then they've learned that all but three of the other kittens passed away due to Distemper. They feel very lucky to have Jackson and very sad for those poor other kittens. Toes showed up at the house about six years ago. She was emaciated, her fur was missing in large areas, and her lip had been split open and was flipped back towards her cheek. They started feeding her, took her to the vet, and jokingly call her their “million dollar cat”. She's worth every penny. She's such a sweetheart and her personality is just too funny.

These are all Reina's best buddies. The Basset is Ed, the white and black Border Collie is Joey, and the Brown Chihuahua is Cocoa. Cocoa came up missing while at Reina's mother's house. She misses her very much, she was the best dog ever. She would roll over, play dead, sit pretty, and even get Reina a tissue.

Here are a couple of pictures of Erin's Australian Shepherd/Border Collie, Sage, who's just about a year old. She got her as a pup at a local livestock show and she's been a blessing ever since. The only problem is, Erin's mom has Miniature Pinschers... so Sage, being the only big dog in the house, thinks that she too is a min pin! Her favorite thing to do is dive-bomb the couch with all the other min pins while someone unsuspecting (namely Erin) is sleeping soundly.
