| Pawsitively Famous, Inc., a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, is a devoted group of Ran Fans who believes that there's a good home for every pet. Our aim is to help raise money for Miranda's favorite charities, Ran's Animal Care Express (RACE), the Humane Society of East Texas (HSOET), and the Texoma Animal Improved Living Society (TAILS), and to promote their goals through races and other special events.
We now have Pawsitively Famous and RACE merchandise (short and long-sleeved shirts and sweatshirts for kids and adults, caps, water bottles, mugs, and even doggie stuff!) up for sale at our Cafe Press store! |
Miranda and the Pawsitively Famous team are thrilled to officially announce the "grand opening" of RACE: Ran's Animal Care Express!
RACE has been set up to help displaced animals find new homes and to assist in organizing and funding the transport to get them there. It's funded through the efforts of Pawsitively Famous and Miranda's MuttNation Foundation pet charity fund.
Our members are made up of Ran fans and animal lovers who share the same beliefs: that every animal should have a loving and caring home. On the RACE website, members can voluntarily sign up to serve as adoptive or foster parents to displaced animal(s), help in transport relays, provide housing to fellow transporter(s) and/or the animal(s), and make donations to help fund adoptions.
Check out the RACE website to sign up and donate to help us get this project underway.
Before you get too far, we want to make sure you know about any contests we may be hosting and our fundraising activities, including our latest merchandise and bottle koozies sales!! So, surf over to our News and Updates page for the latest. You can sign up for our newsletter while you're there, too.
Since igniting the country music industry in 2005, Miranda Lambert ("Ran") has been actively associated with the HSOET in Tyler, Texas, near her hometown of Lindale. She has recently gotten involved with TAILS in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, where she has a farm. She spends a substantial amount of her “free time” raising money to help these charities, even donating considerable sums of her eBay store proceeds to them. Though HSOET and TAILS primarily deal with issues specific to their regions, the problem of homeless pets is worldwide and the best way to address a problem this widespread is to think globally and act locally. We're hoping our efforts will inspire more and more people to help out their local humane societies as well.
We want everyone to keep coming back and we try to update frequently. If there's a training race you'd like to see on the events page, just let us know and we'll be all over it! If you have any ideas, give us a shout! Feel free to link to us on your website, MySpace, or favorite message board, too!
